Crostini

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette or french bread sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 3/4 cup olive oil more or less depending on the size of the bread loaf
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Arrange bread slices on parchment paper placed upon large rimmed baking sheets.
  • Brush both sides with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through (if undersides are not browning, turn crostini over once during baking).
  • Let cool on baking sheets.
  • Top crostini with desired toppings, and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs, dry italian seasoning or dry oregano on tops before baking.
A great recipe to pair with fresh bruchetta.
