Crostini
Ingredients
- 1 baguette or french bread sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 3/4 cup olive oil more or less depending on the size of the bread loaf
- Coarse salt and ground pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Arrange bread slices on parchment paper placed upon large rimmed baking sheets.
- Brush both sides with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through (if undersides are not browning, turn crostini over once during baking).
- Let cool on baking sheets.
- Top crostini with desired toppings, and serve.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs, dry italian seasoning or dry oregano on tops before baking.
A great recipe to pair with fresh bruchetta.
