• 1 baguette or french bread, sliced ¼ inch thick
  • ¾ cup olive oil, more or less depending on the size of the bread loaf
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Arrange bread slices on parchment paper placed upon large rimmed baking sheets.
  3. Brush both sides with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through (if undersides are not browning, turn crostini over once during baking).
  5. Let cool on baking sheets.
  6. Top crostini with desired toppings, and serve.
For added flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs, dry italian seasoning or dry oregano on tops before baking.

A great recipe to pair with fresh bruchetta.
